[Event Info] Yame Fukushima Toro Ningyo Festival Sept. 21-23

From September 21st to 23rd, 2025, the Yame Fukushima Toro Ningyo performance will take place just a short walk away from Craft Inn Te at Fukushima Hachimangu Shrine.

The “Toro Ningyo Festival” is a folk performance that reflects the landscape and history of Yame and has been preserved and passed down since the Edo period for the last 280 years.

Everyone can view the performance free of charge, so please visit if you are staying the night at Craft Inn Te!

In addition to the puppet show itself, pay close attention to the stage, which was built using techniques from Yame’s traditional Buddhist Altar craft. The stage was assembled without a single nail or bracket, and is only set up during this period each year.
